The New Tim Mahoney CD "Songs We Wish We Wrote" is available now at the online store and also at all shows. The new CD consists of all cover-songs performed by Tim Mahoney and his band, in studio. The new CD also has a bonus DVD which has "behind the scene" footage of the making of the CD and also a slide show with the new song, "Simple Life", which will be on the new Tim Mahoney CD released in Spring '06. The cover album which now will have a bonus DVD with a documentary of the making of the record, a photo gallery and a sneak peek of my next album due out in Spring '06.

The tentative release for the Cover CD will Be Dec 18th (it could be sooner though) and we will start an online presale starting Dec. 1st. If you purchase it online, you will have it before Christmas. We are going to do a release show as well, I will keep you posted on that.

Hello everyone
I wanted to tell you about an upcoming special performance.... Here's the deal. One of the casting people that worked on Rockstar: InXs is hosting his own show with yahoo.com and pepsi smash called 100 Concerts in 100 days. They travel across the country filming all different kinds of bands. And on August 23rd they are coming to Minneapolis.

They set up a reception/concert at a recording studio in downtown Minneapolis. It will be a very relaxed atmosphere, to ask questions or request songs. They will be filming for the website www.smash.yahoo.com, which will air an interview and part of the Concert.

They are only allowing me 20 pairs of tickets to give away.

We¹ll be hosting a drawing on the website and you can win a pair. You can enter by going to www.timmahoney.com and emailing webmaster@timmahoney.com and put in the subject YAHOOSMASH.

I wanted to tell everyone I had great time opening for Shawn Colvin. I did get to meet her but kind of fumbled my words. I hope she doesn't think I am a complete idiot. Oh well, I got what I wanted... a picture with her, which I will put up on the site for all to see.

Tim Mahoney will be opening for Shawn Colvin at Fine Line Music Cafe in Minneapolis on Monday, Aug. 1, 2005. Tickets are available at www.tickemaster.com. As you know, Shawn Colvin is one of Tim's personal favorite musicians and is honered to open for her.

Hello everyone, just thought I would give you a little update. The live CD I have been talking about is now going to be all cover songs. I have always wanted to make a CD of all the songs we have played in the past years. If you have any input on song selection please post them on the fan billboard.

I am also working on a new original CD and just finished a song called 'Simple Life' which I am very excited about. I will keep you posted when it will be done.

We will be giving the site a complete overhaul in the next couple weeks so please keep checking back for that.

Drive 105 is still playing 'Theme Song' so if you would like to hear it please call and request it.

I will be going back to the Cabooze in MPLS on Aug 6th. This place has a lot of history for me its where I started, so please come on out. I will also be giving away a Tim Mahoney music sampler again to the first 50 people paid.

One more thing I did want to tell everyone that I did try out for that InXS Rockstar TV show on CBS. I ended up flying to Los Angeles and auditioning in front of InXS and CBS executives. I made it to the the final 20 (they picked 15) out of thousands across the world. The show aired on July 11th it was kind of wierd to watch since I really thought I would be on there, but oh well. I will keep on trying.
