BLEED

You come on just like a buzz killing all the pain
Then you turn to broken glass shooting through my veins
There’s nothing left for you to give
The rush is gone but I can’t forget

But when I see you out there running in the street
I can feel you on the inside cutting right through me
I don’t want to be the one who has to bleed

I’ve always been the stupid one trying to get a little more
And you think I’ll always come back to you when I need to score
But I don’t want to be lying here bleeding ‘till I disappear

Chorus

Maybe I’m to shaken
To break myself away from you
Every piece I’ve taken
Still running through my veins
I’ve got to get away, got to get away

Chorus

At first, Kevin Bowe and I wrote this song with a completely different lyric call (Hold On) but felt it didn't have enough edge to it.
Sometimes when you are with someone (you care about) it feels like a high or a buzz, but it can quickly turn into a stinging pain. You still try and tell yourself you are not going to be the one that gets hurt his time...
